A Lodge Safari in Tanzania means that you stay in accommodation the equivalent of the western deluxe hotels. They are comfortable, luxurious, and generally in a typical African manner of spending the night. You sleep in very maisonettes (lodges) within many cases sheer roofs, and the interior is typically African, with a multiple-use of wood, colored carpets, and African wood crafts. Most of the lodges have internet connections, swimming pools, and more facilities. Very comfortable. Nowadays there is a trend to call the luxurious adventure camps as “lodges” which should not confuse as they almost have the same amenities.
Lodges and camps of this standard are situated in almost all parks and reserves and facilitate most safari itineraries. The vehicles used are safari land cruisers and land rovers with viewing roof hatches.
