7 Days Tanzania Lodge Safari to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti and Tarangire

This 7 days northern circuit safari covers safari game drives in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti and Tarangire of Northern Tanzania, furthermore you will have lots of opportunities to meet with local communities. ITINERARY | Places to visit

Day 1: Arusha Town – Manyara National Park game drive

Pick up from Arusha town and depart to Manyara National Park arriving for lunch at the lodge. Afterwards proceed for an afternoon game drive at Manyara National Park. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo and others.  Late afternoon drive to the lodge for dinner & overnight at Manyara Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)

Day 2: Manyara – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast depart for Central Serengeti National Park. The vast Serengeti plains cover an area of over 14,763 square kilometers and during the months of the migration, is the habitat of huge numbers of wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle with estimates of up to 1.5 million. The Serengeti “Kopjes” (massive boulder islands of granite), standing in a sea of grass, provide shelter to a great variety of plants and animals, from the elusive leopard to the tiny dik dik. Optional Balloon Safari: Experience game viewing over Serengeti with Champagne breakfast at USD$ 540 per person.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds. Overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)

Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop enroute at Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai is the famous archeological site where the Leakey’s discovered remains of Australopithecus, Homo habilis and Homo erectus, bringing crucial understanding to the study of the evolution of the human species. From Olduvai you’re off to the “Ngorongoro Crater,” (the 8th wonder of the world) likely the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Arrival at the lodge for lunch. The rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)

Optional Tour:  Maasai village visit to learn about the Maasai ways of life.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After Breakfast, Drive (with picnic lunch) into the Ngorongoro Crater for a Full Day game drive inside the crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, to name a few. Lunch at the picnic site beside the lake. Late afternoon ascend the crater to your lodge for overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)

Day 6: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, checkout and drive to Tarangire National Park arriving for lunch at the lodge. Afterwards proceed for an afternoon game drive at Tarangire National Park. Drive back to Camp for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Osupuko Lodge (LDBB)

Day 7: Transfer to Arusha | Lunch | Drop off.

After breakfast, drive to Arusha for lunch at The Arusha Coffee Lodge. After lunch transfer to Arusha town for drop off.
