2 Day Tanzania Lodge Safari to Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater

This 2 Days Tanzania Safari Lodge tour is for those who want to maximize wildlife game viewing in short time. This Tour takes you to the two famous wildlife areas in Tanzania. Tarangire, Ngorongoro, a fast way of doing a Big Five safari in Northern Tanzania if you only have 2 days to spend in Tanzania. Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, a good itinerary combination in this wildlife areas in the Northern Safari circuit and both are very good during dry season.

ITINERARY | Places to visit

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Depart early from Arusha town and drive across a beautiful Masai Steppe to Makuyuni junction and turn left along the Arusha – Dodoma Highway towards Tarangire National Park and arrive at the gate after a 2 hours scenic drive. Your professional safari guide will take you to the best wildlife-spotting areas of the park including the Tarangire River which is a permanent river which is the bloodline of the park ensuring animals flock get water throughout the year. You expect to see elephants, elands, wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, gerenuks, giraffes and a lot of birds. Lunch will be taken at one of the picnic sites. Later in the afternoon, you will drive out of the park and your guide will take you to Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dream lodge at Karatu or similar lodge.

Day 2:  Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast, you will drive from the lodge and descend into the Ngorongoro crater via the conservation gate area gate and drive up to the crater rim, stop for your wow moment at the Crater viewpoint taking pictures before driving down the 600 meters steep to the crater floor for a wonderful game viewing. The unfolded caldera, the 8th wander of the natural world which is home to a larger number of animal species. Yearly adequate water supply & fodders in the crater supports a large number of wildlife which include herds of wildebeest, buffalo, African elephant, zebra, eland, hippos, gazelle & the rare black rhino.

Ngorongoro Crater is also home to a dense population of predators like lion, leopard, cheetahs, hyena, and jackals, birds are abundant from some flocks of flamingos at Lake Magadi, pelicans, Ibises, ostrich, goose & other county birds. Packed lunch will be served at the crater floor. Late afternoon drives out and back to Arusha town where your safari ends.
