ITINERARY | Places to visit

Day 1: Arrival Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Arrival pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and drive to a hotel at the foot of Mount Meru in Arusha. Overnight at Planet Lodge (BB)

Day 2: Arusha – Lake Natron
After breakfast set off towards lake Manyara and then into the spectacular Lake Natron basin. An important wetland of international Importance and a RAMSTAR site. A significant part of the surface is covered by an evaporate crust, which dissolves only during the rainy season. It is the only regular breeding area of the 2.4 million phoeniconaias minor (Lesser Flamingo) in East Africa. Lunch is taken en-route to the permanent camp near the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Natron Camp (LDBB)

Day 3: Lake Natron
Breakfast at the camp and later set off to explore the shore of the lake in the early morning and late evening witnessing the amazing sunrise and sunset. Dinner and overnight at Lake Natron Camp (DBB)

Day 4: Lake Natron – Oldonyo Lengai – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, check out and drive past Oldonyo Lengai, an active volcano crossing the Selai plains and finally enter the western Serengeti National Park. The drive reveals spectacular scenery and wildlife. Arrive at the camp in Serengeti for dinner and overnight at Zawadi Serengeti Camp (LDBB)

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
An early morning game drive at Serengeti, then return for breakfast at the camp. The continue with a full day game drive at the park, taking your lunch by the river bank or under the shade of acacia trees. The game dives are in the vast remote plains of the western side of the great Serengeti. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (LDBB)

Optional Tour:  Maasai village visit to learn about the Maasai ways of life.

Optional Balloon Safari: Experience game viewing over Serengeti with Champagne breakfast at USD$ 595 per person.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Breakfast at the camp. Today take your full day game drive exploring the vast North western Serengeti plains which attract millions of migrating wildebeest and Zebras between the months of June and September. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (LDBB)

Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After early breakfast depart for and drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop en-route game drive to Ngorongoro arriving in time for dinner dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (LDBB)

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Full Day game drive – Manyara National Park
After early breakfast, drive (with picnic lunch) towards Ngorongoro crater and  descend for a Full Day game drive inside the crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, to name a few. Your Driver/Guide will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. Picnic lunch at the site beside the lake. Late afternoon ascend the crater and drive to Manyara lodge on the escarpment overlooking the lake Manyara. Dinner and overnight at Burudika Manyara Lodge (LDBB).

Day 9: Full Day – Manyara National Park
Breakfast at the lodge drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo and others. Enjoy lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive at Manyara National Park. Drive to the Lodge for dinner & overnight at Burudika Manyara Lodge(LDBB)

Day 10: Departure
After early breakfast, drive to Arusha for lunch at The Arusha Coffee Lodge restaurant. After lunch transfer to the Arusha town OR Airport
